An innovative and safe way of mixing hot and cold water. For showers just use the touch screen to select your preferred temperature and flow. You can store your preferences for easy selection.
The introduction of computer controlled electronics into the plumbing system opens up an extensive range of new possibilities.
Apart from providing a preferred water temperature and flow via touch screen selection the automatic mixer can provide the following:-
a) Safety - it will not deliver water above 45 degrees C (113 degrees F).
b) Variability - both the temperature and the flow can be altered during use.
c). Monitoring - the water usage is displayed and can be both stored and retrieved for analysis.
d) Connectivity - multiple fixtures within a single or multi-unit building can be controlled from a central unit or point.
e) Timed usage - the automatic mixer will shut down after an extended period of non use. It also allows the selection of the length of time the unit runs for.
f) Many more possibilities.

MULTI-UNIT CONNECTIVITY - THE BENEFITS
Connecting a number of units together such as in high rise residential, Health Care, Hotel/Motel and similar buildings will introduce a system of monitoring water consumption. Once water usage is monitored it can then be managed, allowing for cost and water saving strategies to be implemented.
It has been noted that a hotel chain is currently offering a benefit to clients who elect to not have their room serviced every day, thus giving something to the client in order to bring about an economic benefit to the company.
Reduced water use could also be encouraged by providing an incentive to have timed showers (something the automatic water mixer can provide) or to use the pause feature when lathering up.
SCALD PREVENTION
There are numerous documents from various countries which show that there has been a substantial number of people (particularly children and the elderly) suffering scald injuries from plumbing fixtures.
Health Care facilities are now required to provide thermostatic mixing valves so as to limit the hot water issuing from most of the plumbing fixtures to a maximum of 45 degrees C
.
Whilst this requirement has dramatically reduced the occurrence of scald injuries in such facilities, they still occur.
Thermostatic mixing valves are legally required to be checked on a 12 month basis. They are also required to be replaced or have maintenance work carried out every 5 years. By electronically controlling water to less than 45 degrees C the need for thermostatic mixing valves would be eliminated. This would eliminated the costs of regular checking, replacement and maintenance.
In new dwellings water temperatures are now required to be limited to 50 degrees C. It is reported that a temperature of 50 degrees C can cause a first degree burn in 1 minute..
WATER SAVING
The automatic water mixer will purge cold water from the hot water supply pipe before the selected mixed water is discharged from the shower rose. This purged water will be conveyed to a storage vessel and subsequently utilised to fill the toilet cistern
